ISNESS

Isness is a ‘made up’ word created by myself and a dear friend of mine. We chatted often about just being and the importance of connection with oneself and the word Isness was created – it is just that – to just be!

Lisa x

Hi … my name is Lisa. I have lived on the beautiful Kapiti Coast for most of my life and in Te Horo for just over 10 years. To say I am blessed and privileged to live in this  little ‘spot of paradise’ is truly an understatement.

Connection with ‘self’ has always been an important aspect of my life and taking time to nourish and replenish yourself is vital … both for you and the loved ones around you.

After a very emotional and challenging period of time several years ago, where I couldn’t ‘handle’ being touched through massage, feeling raw and almost broken, I realised and experienced the importance of this. Massage allowed me to stop – to breathe and just be. Letting thoughts come and go and surrending to the sensation of touch through massage.

Whilst massage is a part of my everyday life, my absolute passion is horses – and has been since I was a little girl. I am immensely lucky to have 4 horses – 2 of which came from the 2018 Kaimanawa Muster. The journey these beautiful creatures have taken me on is indescribable. They teach you, they show you, they require you always to just be – to be present, to breathe, to be authentic …. to be ‘Isness”.

THE SPACE

A time for YOU to reconnect with oneself, relax and receive the healing touch of massage.

The ‘space’ in which you come, is an important aspect of your total experience.  I endeavor to achieve an environment that feels relaxing, tranquil and comfortable.  I am a ‘rustic’ type of person and the massage studio reflects my personal style.  The studio is a macrocarpa ‘cabin’ set on my rural property, tucked away at the end of a pathway – a water feature ‘bubbles’ away, creating peaceful energy as you step onto the deck and into the room.  The space is warm, inviting and tranquil with lighting and essential oils to provide a calming, soothing environment for you to relax, enjoy and rejuvenate.  Welcome!!

DANDELION
Dandelion leaves have been used to cure many illnesses and pains, but as a flower symbol, dandelion is the symbol of emotional healing. Since they can endure almost any living condition, they represent overcoming every hardship by standing strong and proud. … Heat and power of the sun – Dandelion is a symbol of the sun.

STONES
The symbolism of stones centers on ideas of endurance, stability, and permanence. They represent the ability to be grounded and connected with the earth. Stones are strong, versatile, and easily accessible.
